Hi, I'm Capt. Richard Houde, I own and operate my 40ft Custom Key West Charter Boat,

The Southbound.

I've been fishing these waters as Captain and Mate since the mid-1980's. I've  held a100 ton U.S. Coast Guard Ocean Operators License (commonly called a Capt. License) for over 20yrs. and have operated  both fishing and dive vessels from 34ft up to 75 ft on these waters.

I originally moved to Key West in the early 80's with the intention of staying in Key West for 1 year before deciding to returning to my native New Jersey  to really start my "adult" life....................didn't exactly work out that way. After 27 yrs, I'm still here.

 Guess I'll  just keep fishing until I can figure what I want to do when I grow up!! ;-)
